THE BULL RUN ISNT ABOUT NARRATIVES OR IDEOLOGIES.

I write this post understanding the diverse needs or goals of players/stakeholders in the Web 3 space and it is tailored specifically for individuals like myself who see this window, in the guise of a bull run, as an opportunity to gain financial freedom or stability.
I have spent the better part of the last five years in the crypto space as an ideologue. An idea was sold to me and bought it. In my little capacity, I have also propagated these ideas and still strongly believe in their merits. However, I have set my convictions aside (for the very first time) to follow the market.
Check out this short thread on projects with potential airdrops.
My reason for following the market is simple: I want to make a lot of money which will not only make my life a lot better but also serve as social proof. For instance, every person in my household is involved in crypto somehow because they can see me making something out of it. They also want to make money; fortunately, I have made them some money.
I have come to understand that most people are willing to commit to low-effort tasks like mobile mining for an extended period than they would a higher-level task like writing, as long as the promise of reward is guaranteed. Most times these promises are not kept and people move on to the next thing. The goal remains the same: try to make some money.
The majority of people in the Web 3 space do not care about narratives or ideologies. It is nearly impossible to win them over by trying to conceive them otherwise. This is why I try to appeal to hivians to refrain from bad-mouthing other projects in their bid to promote Hive. It is counterintuitive and has never worked anywhere.
To thrive in a bull market projects need to create hype. This can be easily achieved through partnerships and grassroots marketing campaigns that require little funding. I have been actively hunting for airdrops for months and I have seen them play out numerous times.
The argument against hype is that it is unsustainable but that's false. If you study the psychology of the people in this space, you will realise it is quite easy to create a never-ending loop that keeps people in your ecosystem. Ideologies and narratives are harder to sustain and require long-term commitment which is near impossible to get from people.
In conclusion, this is my third bull run and I am keen on doing things differently. I understand nothing is guaranteed but my resolve is strong. Examining market trends and sentiment is how I hope to make the most out of this bull run.
