Rodrygo To Liverpool A Possibility?

In the summer transfer window after the departure of Luis Diaz to Bayern Munich, there were some players linked to join Liverpool to fill the winger role left by Diaz. At first, I was sceptical about bringing new players to the club since Cody Gakpo and Federico Chiesa can cover that role well without Diaz at the club, plus Florian Wirtz can play as a false winger in that position, so I didn't see the need for the club to sign a new winger during the summer window.

However, I began to see another perspective when I saw the news about Rodrygo being linked to Liverpool and Arsenal during the summer. Rodrygo was on the brink of leaving Real Madrid during the summer window, as there were doubts that Xabi Alonso wanted the Brazilian in his plans, and Real Madrid were open to discussing Rodrygo's future at the club after the FIFA Club World Cup. The Brazilian winger had a rough season last year, as injuries took a significant toll on the player, and his minutes in matches were reduced due to his inconsistent performance on the pitch.

Rodrygo had a rough season, but it doesn't change the fact that when the Brazilian winger is in good form, he could be one of the best on the pitch. The idea of Rodrygo being a Liverpool player sits well with me, and if there is an opportunity for the club to sign the Brazilian in the January transfer window or the summer window next year, I strongly think the club should take that chance and bring Rodrygo to Liverpool. The Brazilian is a versatile player as he can play on the right and left sides of the pitch.

The intriguing part about Rodrygo is that you can't tell when he will spark into the game, and a good example will be Real Madrid's comeback against Manchester City in the Champions League three seasons ago, if I am correct. The Brazilian winger was the highlight of the match after scoring two crucial goals in less than five minutes against Manchester City. Rodrygo is a special player, and although he has not been in form lately, I still consider the Brazilian a top player. It will be nice to see him in the red jersey at Anfield, but it is uncertain whether the possibility will be a reality.

Rodrygo this season for Real Madrid has been off and Xabi Alonso has not been giving the Brazilian more playing time as he prefers to start Adra Guler on the right side of the field instead of Rodrygo. There are rumours that Rodrygo may leave Real Madrid this January or next summer if things don't change at Real Madrid. The Brazilian is committed to playing for Real Madrid as he wants to succeed more at the club, but there comes a time when we must all agree that the place we love to stay may not be good anymore, and it takes courage to leave that place.

It's still a developing story, so we will see what happens at the start of the transfer window in January next year. So that will be all for now. Thanks for stopping by and have a good day.
