HIVEMEETUP DAY3 || HIKING & CLEANING

Today I joined the Hive community in Graz to hike and do some cleaning around my city (Yes, I am a Grazier--for now). We got to explore the city whilst promoting hive.

Our first stop was at the meetup location where we all converged. It was a lot easier to converse today, because I knew most of the faces from yesterday's meeting. I had a little chitchat with other members before we began our long walk to Uhrturm.

Our task for the day was to pick up as many trash as possible whilst we hike. We were spilt into groups of 3s and 5s, and @tibfox promised to giveaway a prize to the team that picked up the most trash. It was a difficult one because Graz is really clean,but we found our way around it.

The long walk up the hill afforded us the unique opportunity to enjoy the beautiful scenery of Graz. This was my second time visiting the Uhrturm but it was more memorable hiking with other people.

Fortunately, my team was able to pick up a sizable amount of trash courtesy @tinabrezpike (she is was bursting with energy all day long). @marjanko was good company as well. At the end of the day there was a tie between my team and other, so we decided to spilt the prize.

All work but no food makes nonso a cranky boy. We stopped for some food and beer--my first in months. Unfortunately I could not join the group to the next event because I have to work this evening. Nevertheless it was a fun experience and I would love to do it again (in another city).

A big shout-out to everyone who made this meetup possible. I met a couple of old acquaintances, someone of which have stopped posting on Hive. I hope this would be spark they need to use the Blockchain again (it was for me). For my new friends, I hope to see you again. @reiseamateur invited me to a football match sometime in the future. I can't remember the last time I kicked a football but I will surely be attending. Tschüss!
