The past two weeks have seen Liverpool pushing to seal the deal with Bayern Leverkusen for the signing of Florian Wirtz, as it has been their main priority over the past week to gain control so that there won't be a steal from other clubs in the build-up to the deal. Liverpool's 130 million euros bid was rejected last week by Bayern Leverkusen as the club valued Florian Wirtz for over that amount. However, Liverpool was still persistent in getting the deal done as negotiations kept ongoing between both clubs.

Agreement on personal terms was not an issue as Florian Wirtz had already accepted Liverpool's offer and had told Bayern Leverkusen that he only wanted the move to Liverpool even with interest from top German side club Bayern Munich early this year. It's still not proven why Florian Wirtz was not interested in the move to Bayern Munich because the German Club showed great interest, even the president of the club has come out to say how he appreciates the player a couple of times, but at the end it was not the move Florian Wirtz wanted at this point in his career.

Fabrizio Romano confirmed 12 hours ago that the deal has been sealed between Liverpool and Bayern Leverkusen for the signing of Florian Wirtz. Bayern Leverkusen accepted Liverpool's offer of 150 million euros plus the deal's add-on. There is no doubt that this is Liverpool's most expensive signing this summer and the Reds are not done yet in the transfer market. It's nice to see that the club was able to make this move possible and came to an agreement with Bayern Leverkusen, as the German club were not willing to make it easy for Liverpool to get Wirtz.

Arne Slot and Hughes were key in making the deal a success as Slot is building a strong team to contest for next season. Liverpool now has gotten Jeremie Frimpong and Florian Wirtz into the team for next season. They are both talented players and hopefully will be key in Liverpool's run in next season's campaign in all competitions. Trent has only been the departure from Liverpool this summer and more may follow soon in the coming weeks. Luis Diaz has not yet left the set of FC Barcelona as the club is still showing interest even when Liverpool expressed in one of their post last news on X that they considered Luis Diaz as one of their, but it seems Deco( Barcelona sporting director) is not backing down anytime soon.

There will be some departures in the coming weeks for Liverpool as Federico Chiesa could leave this summer as Italian clubs are already on his radar. Chiesa didn't get that much player time at Liverpool and I would say it was his first season, but Arne Slot doesn't seem to have the player in his plans, but we will see over the summer how things develop. So that will be all for now. Thanks for stopping by, and have a good day.
