Darwin Nunez To Napoli Now Considered Off
Good day, everyone, and welcome to my club. Darwin Nunez's story has been on the market for weeks since the start of the summer as the club has assured the Uruguayan that he will leave this summer window. It has been agreed with Darwin Nunez, who is keen on exiting the club this summer, to find another club as the relationship between the Reds and Nunez has ended. Napoli and Saudi Arabia clubs have been in the race to sign the Uruguayan since the start of the summer, which was what I reported for weeks, as everything was still being negotiated between clubs.
Napoli was the front runner in the race to sign Darwin this summer, as club-to-club talks were on for weeks. The Uruguayan gave priority only to Napoli as he was keen on the move with personal terms being discussed for weeks, but Darwin Nunez was open to joining the Italian side. Liverpool were asking for a fee of 60-65 million euros which Napoli were not going to pay as it was too high in their evaluation for Darwin Nunez and they tried to work on a fee that would be appealing to Liverpool and not over their budget and I guessed it would be around 45-50 million euros.
The deal was dragging on for a long time and went on standby as Napoli was banking on closing the deal with Galatasaray for Victor Osimhen and then activating the deal back with Liverpool. It has been reported that Napoli has now informed Liverpool that they are no longer interested in signing Darwin Nunez and the deal is now considered off. The weeks of negotiating have proven not to have gone anywhere which is not surprising because it was lingering for too long. Now it seems only Saudi Arabia clubs are in the race to sign the Uruguayan this summer.
It will be up to Darwin Nunez to explore his options and choose if he wants the move to Saudi Arabia or wait to see if anything will develop with other clubs across Europe this summer. The story is not going to change as Darwin Nunez will leave Liverpool this summer window. Liverpool is already working on their striker replacement as Hugo Ekitike is the front runner now since Newcastle United is not ready to listen to offers for Alexander Isak which I will be dropping a post on that situation later.
Saudi clubs have already made contact with Darwin Nunez and his camp and will try to convince him with their project and salaries to sign a deal. It's been a month since the Darwin Nunez to Napoli story was on, so now we can say it is completely over, as there is no chance Darwin Nunez will be joining Napoli this summer. There will be more updates in the coming weeks, and I look forward to seeing what is next for Darwin Nunez this summer, as he could move to Saudi Arabia. So, guys, that will be all for now. Thanks for stopping by and have a good day.
