Copa Del Rey El Clasico Final
It all goes down today in Sevilla as one of the biggest matches in football history, El Clasico, will kick off in a couple of minutes this evening. Yesterday I made a post about Real Madrid opting not to play today's match because of the referee selected by the RFEF to officiate the match. Late last night it was confirmed that Real Madrid will be playing today's match as they said it won't be fair for the fans that travelled all the way from their homes to watch the match in Sevilla. Everything Real Madrid did yesterday was just a waste of time, and honestly, they spoiled today's match.
If Barcelona wins today many would say it is because they let the referee officiate the match. If Real Madrid wins they will say the club fought through corruption to win the Copa Del Rey title. FC Barcelona, on the other hand, has not made any comment so far regarding the issue that happened yesterday as they are focused on playing Real Madrid this evening to win their second trophy of the season. This match is of the utmost importance to both teams and as usual, El Clasico never fails to entertain football fans.
Real Madrid and Barcelona are going through injury issues, as some players from both sides will be missing the game this evening. Robert Lewandoski, FC Barcelona's main striker, suffered an injury to his hamstring, which will see the player out for three weeks. It means Lewandoski will not be able to participate in the first leg of the Champions League against Barcelona with Inter Milan and probably the second leg as well which I am sure the Polish striker won't like to be out in this important match for the team.
Balde FC Barcelona's left-back will be missing the match this evening, and I can see that is a big blow for Barcelona in the left-back position. Balde has been impressive this season as the Spanish player has had a g/a contribution in the two times Real Madrid and Barcelona have faced this season. The big question on everyone's minds is who will Hansi Flick start in the left-back position against Real Madrid today. Gerard Martin is the one likely to start but it doesn't seem to be liked much by Barcelona fans.
The other name on the list is Hector Fort who has not gotten a lot of minutes this season but could likely start this evening against Real Madrid. The starting lineup will be uploaded soon and these questions will be answered soon. Real Madrid will be missing Camavinga this evening as the Frenchman's season is over due to the injury he picked up in Madrid's last game. Camavinga is a player that can be put in almost every position on the pitch. I am sure Ancelotti will be missing the Frenchman, but this will be an opportunity for Adra Guler to get minutes in an important match.
It is going to be an interesting match, and I can say if you want to be entertained this evening, don't miss this match. So this is where I say goodbye. Thanks for stopping by and have a good day.
