BEGINNING OF FATHERHOOD

By the time this post makes it to your screen, I would already be a father, of not just one but two beautiful babies. It brings me get delight to share this phase of my life with you my viewers. Most of you have been with me through different phases of my life as far back as 2018 when I discovered this platform, and this is another unique opportunity to join me on another voyage.

I am documenting my entire journey as a father on this new page (@daddy-nonso) for two major reasons. My initial goal is to capture important moments and pass on these memories to my kids, and I hope this becomes a family tradition which will be transferred to subsequent generations to come. Maybe through me, thousands (or even millions) of people in the future will have a reason to keep the Hive block chain running, not just for monetary gain but for the memories of loved one long gone (this is the reason I started writing in the first place--to capture memories).

My other reason for documenting my fatherhood experience is monetary. I fancy the idea of bequeathing Hive to my kids. This was the first currency and space that mattered to me. It is almost impossible to talk about the story of my life (most of which are buried under hundreds of blog posts) without mentioning Hive. So it is symbolic and important.

Whatever proceeds I make from this page will go to my kids once they turn 18. I do not know if this Blockchain would survive another decade or two given how much the digital sphere is changing due to the advent of artificial intelligence, but It is my hope that Hive is worth something by the time they are both functioning adults. Hopefully they do not need the money from this account. If that's the case, I will request they (my wonderful children) donate whatever this account amasses to Charity, or better still, pass it on to their kids.

WHAT TO EXPECT FROM THIS PAGE?

As I hinted earlier this page will cover my fatherhood experience. This will comprise mainly of anecdotes, pictures (if my wife approves), etc. I am committing to at least a post per month for the first year or two. Afterwards, my posting schedule will solely depend on important events (and my whims and caprices).

In conclusion, I am looking forward this documentary. It is the first time in months/years I have felt good about writing. Cheers!
