Arsenal Are Through To The Semifinals
Remontada is the word that has been echoed for a week by the Real Madrid fan base ahead of the Real Madrid vs Arsenal clash which happened last night. Real Madrid's fanbase has been all over X explaining how their team will comeback against Arsenal and I understand it's important to have confidence in your club but don't just do way too much then in the end when it doesn't go as planned it will turn into a joke and that what happens in this fixture last night.
The Real Madrid players even made it more encouraging as they were posting themselves on their social media page making references to the match against Arsenal. Rodrygo, Vinicius and Bellingham all made cringe posts on their page, and in the end, they could not win the match at home, more or less of making a remontada, which has been their motto so far this week. Arsenal deserve this win and I would say it would be unfair not to give them props for delivering a good performance away from home in a stadium that tends to be hostile to opposition fans.
The Gunners went into the Bernabeu and won the Galacticos 2-1(5-1 on aggregate) with Saka and Martinelli scoring the two goals for Arsenal, while Vinicius Junior scored the only goal for Real Madrid. The scoreline could have been 3-1 if Saka had not missed the penalty he was given, but in the end, he still made the scoresheet that helped the Gunners increase their advantage on aggregate. It's not a fluke, but I am sure many football fans, except for Arsenal fans, didn't believe Arsenal could make it past Real Madrid in this fixture.
Honestly, I doubted Arsenal as well, but in the end, they proved people wrong, and now they are in the semifinals this season and will be going up against PSG in the next round. Arsenal will have to get ready this time because this is a different PSG that they faced earlier in the league phase of the competition. PSG will give them a hard time, and if I am to predict who will make it to the next round, I will say PSG got it covered, but who knows? I could be wrong again. We just have to wait and see how that match turns out.
Real Madrid has now failed to win a match against Arsenal in their entire head-to-head stats since they first faced each other in the Champions League. This season has been rough for Real Madrid and I honestly doubt they will beat Barcelona in the Copa Del Rey final later this month. It's funny this Real Madrid team was looked at to be invisible when Mbappe joined in the summer window, plus the stars they got stacked on the team, but now they are average as all that hype was just for nothing.
The semi-finals are another crucial match for the remaining four teams in the competition. The intensity will be high and I can't wait to see what is installed for us fans in the weeks to come. So, guys, this is where I will drop my pen for now. Thanks for taking the time to read my post, and have a good day.
Hi there,
Nice write-up though some of us, didn't doubt, for I said somewhere in Hive–
"Why did they lose to Bayern Munich in last season's Quarters? It wasn't a lack of solidity, attacking nous or fatigue but a lack upstairs, yeah a mental thing. Which in other words, can be called belief.
This team has grown mentally since then, that's one key reason I was relaxed before that second leg against Real Madrid yesterday, I knew Arsenal are mentality monsters now."
THIS IS ARSENAL
