Yesterday, I gave a little glimpse of Alexander Isak rumours about a possible link to Liverpool this summer, and I mentioned it has not been confirmed yet if this rumour is concrete, but after listening to Fabrizio Romano's podcast, it seems those rumours were true. Liverpool sees Isak as a dream signing, the same as Manchester United, who are looking for a striker, but the thing is, Alexander Isak is just a dream signing and nothing concrete has been made by Liverpool in bidding for Isak this summer.

Alexander Isak is appreciated by Liverpool, which is a known fact now, but it won't be easy to get the forward as Newcastle United is setting a price tag of 140 million euros for Isak. This price tag is just to scare off clubs that have interest in signing Isak this summer as Newcastle United appreciate the striker and want to keep him next season as they have a heavy schedule, plus they will be playing in the Champions League next season so I doubt they will want to lose their star striker this summer.

Last season was one of the best forms we have seen from Alexander Isak. The Sweden international had a total of 32 g/a in all competitions for Newcastle, and he had a huge impact on Newcastle United, winning the EFL Cup, which ended the club's 56-year trophyless run. It is a huge achievement for the club and the players who work hard all season, especially the manager Eddie Howe, who has been fantastic since taking the job three years ago. Newcastle United are building a competitive team with the players they have on the team.

They have been quiet as they are not linked to any player for now, but we will see them in the coming weeks. Liverpool can still enter the bid for Alexander Isak, but are they going to be willing to pay the amount Newcastle United are asking as they will bidding for over 100 million euros and remember the club already has spent close to 200 million euros in bringing in Florian Wirtz, Jeremine Frimpong and Milos Kerkez this summer. It would be preferable for the club to go for Victor Osimhen like I have been stating for a week now.

The asking price is 75 million euros, which is a fair deal to be honest, looking at the quality Victor Osimhen possesses. Alexander Isak is a good player and it would be great having the young lad at the club, but the price is just too much and I doubt Newcastle will be willing to negotiate a lower fee, but like I said, it's just a dream signing and the summer is still long, so anything can happen. Liverpool is definitely not done in the transfer market as there is still more to come, plus the departures from the club. As the week goes on, there will be more development, so for now, we wait and see the next move for the Reds.
