After Viral, We Must be Wary of Scams

I don't understand whether this is a scam or something else. But, this is what happened to me and my sister. For the incident that I experienced, I experienced it three years ago, when I still really liked being a contributor on an Islamic website. At that time, I criticized a religious leader who discriminated against women. Unfortunately, the followers of the religious leader were very large and loyal.

One article was trending and I didn't experience anything. Until finally, I managed to write 10 articles about the sermons that were carried out and were very discriminatory against women. That terrible day arrived. On the Islamic social media where I wrote, the article was very busy being discussed.

At that time, I was still communicating with the editor, according to the editorial team, there was no need to respond. I continued my life, but at that time there was a notification that someone was trying to enter a number of my social media.

Not only social media, someone tried to enter WhatsApp. The next day, the internet banking that I usually use had information that someone would break into it. I was quite afraid of that. On social media I started making my information private. Not everyone can see my social media accounts.

For WhatsApp I left the group and created a two-step experience to stay safe. For internet banking, I immediately contacted the bank to deactivate internet banking. I transferred my bank transactions to another bank that I use.

The incident was quite scary. The incident still scares me, until last year I deactivated Instagram. I only use Twitter to be able to communicate with my friends. The incident also made me afraid to write about religion. That's the only story I can present. See you in another story.
