Urban or Rural: Why the City Will Always Be My First Choice
I have heard a lot of times that environment has a big influence on people's lives, and that's a raw truth. The kind of location you are in is determined by the kind of people surrounding you, and consciously or unconsciously, you will see yourself adjusting to their lifestyle.

Some people prefer to live in rural areas for so many reasons. The rural area is cheaper compared to the urban; there is this nature they enjoy that those in the city find on rare occasions. There is not so much noise and traffic like there is in the city. And many more reasons.
Those days, my grandma would always say that I should be careful with my family over here in Lagos due to kidnappers. But now, the reverse is the case; the level of kidnapping activities in rural areas is baffling. Those evil guys kidnap people in groups, dump them in the forest, and start calling for millions. In fact, the happenings so far in most rural areas are nothing to write home about, yet there are still good perks to living in the rural areas.
I visited my village last month, of course a rural area, but it's already looking like a mini city. There are these tarred roads, constant electricity—more than what I have here in Lagos, boreholes everywhere, and then cheap foodstuff, village markets filled with fresh food and veggies...all these are tempting, but I can only prefer to go for a holiday over there, not to totally start residing in a rural area... Those guys don't think highly; my co-wife is a typical example. They are just okay with a moderate kind of life.

I prefer the city, the urban area, where I will be challenged to stretch myself, aim higher, and work harder for a prettier kind of lifestyle. I am aware that nowhere is safe these days when it comes to security and all kinds of evils that have prevailed in our society today, but at least here in the city, security personnel are still very active and working, while God protects his own.
In the city, there are more opportunities to create wealth, due to the population here and the business establishments here and there. Even with the high cost of living, it's still a place to have a good life. If I crave a beach moment, it's just a stone's throw away; the structure here can't be compared to what is there in rural areas.

You work hard for your money, and at the end of the day, there are fun activities to make you relax. There is also this busyness in the city. Everyone's hustling to make ends meet; without considering anything, you will be forced to join in the hustling, rising early in the morning to begin the hustling and keep footing your bills without struggling.
Life is a choice after all, but till tomorrow, the rural area will continue to be my choice for holiday, while I continue to enjoy the city and how it is structured to make life easier through accessibility to so many things humans need.

This is my response to the #Hive Learners prompt on the topic title, URBAN OR RURAL.
As long as you're having fun and have what you need, blessed be where you live!
Yesoo...simple and short
Thanks for engaging
Even amidst the hustle and bustle of the city, there is some peace and quiet. Business and commerce thrive best within the city, and a variety of beautiful things can be enjoyed within the town. Thank you very much for sharing your feelings, words, and photographs with us.

That is true, Both the places has their own advantages and disadvantages but as I can understand for the today's trend the young population is more passionate and more adaptive to the modern facilities which make it hard for them to shift to the rural area and their first choice is urban lifestyle only.
