The Organ Market: A Desperate Choice or a Dangerous Path?

We all know that the organ market is illegal globally. It's very unethical to buy or sell any part of human organs, but yet, we see these practices in the black market; people still find their ways around these illegal businesses.

Human beings are desperate to make money; some can do the unthinkable in the secret place just to survive. However, the big question here is if the people are willing to trade one of their kidneys or some other organ to make ends meet, should they have a right to do that since it's their body?

Looking at this for this reason of survival, it sounds like a relief that people should have the right to sell organs of their body at choice to survive life, but the negative impact will be terrible. Imagine how kidnappers and organ harvesters still illegally trade human organs in the black market, killing anyone and doing away with their vital parts. Every time you hear about missing people, most of them never return. I don't want to imagine legalizing this for the sake of those who want to use it to make ends meet; because that would be disastrous, I must say.

It won't be long, and the negative impact will override our world. I love the fact that the organ market is illegal. I love the fact that the government can protect her citizens from this, and I am in full support of it remaining illegal. No doubt the economy is hard and people are suffering, but legalizing the organ market will lead to half-healthy humans roaming about the street. In fact, streets won't be safe anymore, because expect humans to exploit this for real. Even some families will start pressuring their members to go for it and liberate their family from poverty, lol. There are things that don't need deeper thought before declining, and the organ market is part of it.

In our world today, survival has become so expensive. I once read the story of a young man whose mother was suffering a terminal disease; their rent was due for a renewal with no food and just nothing to hold onto. He started googling the price of a kidney. He was under pressure to rescue her deing Mum, not greed this time. If you look at it closely, the young man was simply reacting to the pressure he was facing at the moment, and that's similar to the stories of many other people nursing the idea of doing away with their organs to survive.

For some people, their business has collapsed; some are swimming in the ocean of bills, some already kept their precious kids at home due to lack of money to continue schooling , some are starving, and there are many more horrible situations. These are real pressures of life capable of pushing people into selling their organs secretly.

My thoughts on this are simple: instead of deliberating on whether it is right or not right for people to sell their organs, find out what is making them desperate to do away with their vital organs. Let the unemployment be fixed, let poverty be attended to, and let the harsh economy be fixed too, and many other factors contributing to this mess for some people.

At the end, we should realize that the organ market is not just about ethics but about humanity. People shouldn't sell their organs to survive life, and until our society understands this and fixes the many errors, the black market will keep flourishing.

really sad how large the black market has grown over the years, the system has gained grounds and adaptation in our society. There has to be a reorientation on the ills it carries and more so the dangers it poses to human existence and healthy living.

I totally agree that organ markets must remain illegal,I know life it's hard and people can do everything for desperation but supporting this kind of market it's a crime.

I agree that it's unethical. People shouldn't even think of selling their vital organs to survive.
