The Day I Studied for the Wrong Exam — and Still Survived
Indeed, we can't be too careful at all times. I remember always including in my CV that I pay attention to details as one of my strengths, hehehe, yet I see myself making mistakes sometimes.
I think it's expected once in a while as a human. Some mistakes we make test us big time. It's even hard to go a week without making mistakes, either big ones or small ones, unless you are a robot. Perhaps robots also make mistakes? Lol.

One thing I know is that no matter how embarrassing some mistakes may look, they have a way of teaching us valuable lessons. This prompt said we should reflect on one mistake we made last week as a student, but since I am no longer a student currently, I will reflect on one big mistake I made back then as a student that wasn't too funny but reminded me to stay more active in my studies.
It was exam period, and our exam timetable was posted. One of my study group mates asked if she should help me copy the timetable, as I was busy with other things in the class at the time the timetable was pasted, and I told her no, I would copy it myself when I am free. I wish I was a prophet; I would have allowed her to copy it for me, but it was what it was then.
I finished a bit late with the seminar topic I was working on in my class and quickly rushed to copy the exam table with my tired eyes. Only for me to make a mistake, I copied the wrong course for day 1 of the exam.I was busy studying so hard for the wrong paper unknowingly, and the D-Day came. With confidence, I sat down in the examination hall, ready to offload what I learned. Lo and behold, I received a different course from what I prepared for. At first I told the invigilator that there was an error with the course she was sharing, but everyone echoed that she was right. I had to wipe my eyes, lol; reality came knocking.

I asked many students, and they said the course we were to write that time was anatomy and not what I thought it was. Wow, just wow! Of course I usually study all my courses back-to-back. I don't wait until the exam before I do so. It was a lifestyle I cultivated from year one until I graduated from the university. Although I wasn't prepared for the anatomy, I read it well like three days past, so a lot of knowledge about the course was still fresh in my memory. I had nothing to fear. With confidence and with God, I prayed and began writing...
The whole knowledge was flowing; I only had issue with two theory questions, which weren't so clear, but I tried regardless. The result came out, and I scored 76 marks on that subject. Imagine if I wasn't always studying my book ahead of exams. I would have been stranded.
The experience taught me to always stay prepared as a student, whether there is an exam or no exam.
