Technology, Memory, and the Choice I’d Rather Not Make
Who wouldn’t want an improved memory, especially when it comes naturally without having to deal with its negative effect? I guess most people would crave for that, and that means having the ability to remember virtually everything we can think of, like so many things I have learned in the past will be remembered, nothing missing, nothing broken.
No need to do an ultimate search for where I dropped my spare key or where I dropped a particular document, no need to write down my hive keys on paper or always strive to store much important info or data on a flash drive or PC, and many other things we usually forget where we kept or need to store for safety purposes . My memory would be uniquely active and could travel miles within seconds, recalling every important thing and having the ability to store numerous pieces of info up there, amazing right?.
I once missed the birthday of a close friend, and surprisingly, she took it to heart for a very long time. Every effort I made to explain that it's only because I forget it proved abortive. My memory failed to remind me to set my alarm for such an important date for my close pals. Imagine having an improved memory; I wouldn't need to stress myself explaining my many "whys" to the friend, but at last, she became calm, and we settled it.
Having said that, will I really consider getting a chip to improve my memory? And would I be willing to let people poke around in my brain just so I can remember things better and for longer? The answer is a big NO, and I would tell you why... No doubt that brain chip might help me store more information than my natural brain can hold, and no doubt that I will even be smarter, and no doubt that navigating difficult courses like the tech skill I am doing on the low key currently will be seamless, but at what cost, especially allowing people to poke around my brain?
I was in the neurology department last week in the hospital, and my eyes saw a lot of cases of brain defects. I wouldn't for any reason joke with my brain no matter the benefit of a chip, not when I have NO spare brain somewhere waiting to be transplanted in case anything goes wrong, lol. I feel the demerit of a brain chip will supersede the merit, and that's not sitting well with me; it's a no-no.
Technology has been with us, making life so much easier, and it's obvious that the idea of a brain chip is for assistant too, especially for those in need of it. I can get tech assistance for many things, but when it involves the sensitive part of my body, the brain, I won't consider it but will remain the way I am.

Truly there is nothing like natural and retentive memory sis especially in this era where we are involved with too many things.
The brain 🧠 is one of the most sensitive part of the body which does not need any foreign body like chips because it can cause brain damage no matter what ever benefit we get from inserting it in our brain.

The truth is, everyone is the center of their world. We're the main characters in our stories. The only problem is that we expect to be the main character in other people's stories as well. That's why some people refuse to accept the fact that it's entire possible to forget their birthdays.😂😂😂

STOPSetting a chip in brain is more dangerous than playing with fire. We can lose life, we may lose many information from brain. It can be hacked also. In that case it's very risky and it's not worthy to take risk.
