Yea, the early days of a child is very sensitive . And why some children derail from such teachings they gain earlier from their parents, it shouldn't stop that solid foundation because in one way or the other , it still impacts many children positively even though external factors will still come into play either for good or bad when they begin to socialize with others out there .
