No Season Lasts Forever: My Journey Through Highs and Lows
One important lesson life has taught me is that no season lasts forever! There is always a wind blowing people left and right. One moment, you experience being at the top of your life, having things moving so right with you in many aspects, and you keep living your life with peace, inner fulfillment, and happiness, and another time, you find yourself in a low moment, and you start looking for the peace you enjoyed.
You start feeling like you are at a crossroads and searching for the way to pull out again. It happens; life is quite unpredictable, but in every phase of our lives, just remember that it will pass. We may rise or fall, but it's just a phase.
I have experienced both phases in my life: the time I was low but things changed, and I got back to the top, and the time I got to the top of my success and later went back to square one. The period of my low moment was those experiences I don't like dwelling on, especially when my mind begins to travel miles away, reflecting on my life journey so far.
I have never wanted to be the type of person that loves calling my family for financial assistance, but some situations will force you to adjust to your life policy. I was sad that Mum heard about our suffering and didn't stop waybilling foodstuffs to us here in Lagos. Can you imagine that? A woman I should be sending things to instead turned out to be our life saver. She didn't stop worrying my brothers to be sending us money until we stood our ground again. How everything went crashing was so strange! It was as if everyone that connected with my husband started hating him at the same time and withdrawing every contract from him. The money at our hand faced lots of repeated challenges and kept going out daily while none was coming in. At a point, paying bills became an issue.
Hubby was literally at home, jobless; he began applying for jobs other places, but you wouldn't hear any feedback. I think that was my first time powering down to fill the vacuum and emptying my savings too in my bank account. Still, things were terrible until we challenged God in praying and fasting, sowing seed in the church, and visiting the altar of God until what looked like a veil covering us was removed and we got back on track. It was a big relief! We were at the top of our success again, living life and feeling happy.
But then, hubby didn't want what happened again to repeat itself. He invested in a business that looked promising with millions of naira, my people, that investment crashed, and we went back to square one. Hubby went into depression; his mental health was terrible, but I managed to put myself together and assist him to heal instead of being down myself, at least to be strong for my family and me.
It was a challenging phase, but after a while, we sat down to trace where our problem started and started fixing our mistakes, taking clear precautions, and starting afresh again. The place of prayers was never forgotten because God is the ultimate restorer, and he did restore all we lost, and today we are fine and pushing. It's not as if we have arrived, but we are making a little progress each day, trusting God to make a way.
If you are in a similar situation like mine before, where you feel stranded in life, do not be too hard on yourself, and neither should you give up. No situation lasts forever, but rather, see that situation as a lesson because there is always a lesson to learn in each situation of our lives. You may be down today, but it could be a different story tomorrow; just stay positive and do your part, and you will be alright at last!

Every experience came with a valuable lesson. I’m glad you were able to support him, imagine if you were just a housewife?😢
My dear...I imagined that too
But I am a woman with my own money...I refuse to be a liability to any man lol

My dear..it doesn't feel great to call family but what can I do
It's all good now
It must have been a lot on you and the family. Loosing a Job or investment sometimes can make one depressed, but I'm glad you didn't breakdown but helped in the little way possible. I believe your strength encouraged him also to fight until God showed up.
God will do it once again, and it will remain this time
One thing I learned is that God shows up in every situation as long as you call him with all ur heart
I thank God for today bro
