My Heartfelt Sunday Experience

I will say that today's service was extraordinary. I felt so happy being so early at the service and relaxed and positioned myself to receive from God. You know that feeling when you are not under pressure to meet up with the time? It's heavenly.

My kids have been my excuse for attending church late. It's not always easy to wake them up by 5am and get ready to attend the 6:30am service, but I made the determination to stop going late. Whatever it will cost me, I am ready to pay the price, and so I start preparing for Sunday service on Saturday. Everyone in my home knows the drill already, and we commit to this new resolution.

Have you ever attended church before and it happened that the priest was done with the sermon on your arrival? The feeling is always bitter. I think it has happened to me twice this year, and thankfully, I have broken the yoke. Lol, not a good lifestyle for Christians no matter our many bunches of excuses and responsibilities.

That's by the way, if you couldn't attend church today due to one thing or another, I got you covered with the recap of today's sermon. According to our priest, he encouraged families to embrace love in nurturing their children. He said families should be where love, joy, happiness, and kindness should thrive and not bitterness, anger, and the negative kind of lifestyle portrayed for the children to grow up with. He said once we get it right in our different families, then our society will be a peaceful one, as family is the basic unit of the society.

Whenever a child is bitter or angry from home, he goes out to spread it, and that's why we keep having issues living in our society. It was a simple but valuable sermon, and I am positive that if families should start doing the needful from today, we will start having a better and-proud society in our world. I also loved how the priest, after his general sermon, went to the children section to preach to them in the language they will understand. He taught them how to live a good life as a Christian child in their various families. It was a nice impact today; I loved every word he spoke to us, and I pray for the grace to put them to work.

After the sermon, there was a session of praise and worship. I felt lifted; I was dancing like never before. The choir was raising soul-lifting worship songs; the whole atmosphere was powerful and exciting. Many people never wanted the praise to stop, but it was time to go home.

There were a series of thanksgivings from different families and societies, including a society in the church I belong . It's always good to come back to God in appreciation for what he is doing in our lives.

Yea, a sublime Sunday it is. One of our women leaders is celebrating her 55th birthday today, and in an hour's time, I will dress to grace the occasion. It's going to be a golden party, and I hope to have fun over there.
