My Favorite Inventions

We live in a world that keeps modernizing every day with diverse technological breakthroughs. There are innovations constantly that leave me in awe of how creative people can be, using their knowledge, skills, and experience to create something amazing for the world to use and be better. All thanks to technology, and at the same time, I am equally happy to be born in this era where so many innovations are available to make life easier for us than it used to be many decades ago.

The first time I took a flight from Lagos to my hometown, my mother-in-law was baffled seeing me home around 10 am. She kept screaming and telling me stories of how a journey of a few hours would have taken me days or months to arrive if it was in the olden days, but then again, airplanes aren't even my favorite invention.

My favorite invention without thinking hard is the Internet! When I look around me, all I see is how I am living a better life with the help of the Internet, and I can't help but imagine how life would have been tougher without the Internet. For someone like me who, for many reasons, cannot take an offline job at this phase of my life, the Internet came through for me. Let's not even go far; being on Hive, connecting with different people across the globe here was possible because of this invention. I am able to earn cryptocurrencies through my writing; I trade and invest crypto, engage in airdrops, and participate in numerous Hive contests and many more, living a better life and having time to look after my home. Is that not amazing?

Have you seen how businesses grow daily through the help of the Internet? Have you seen how many people close business deals from a far-distance country at the comfort of their homes? Do you see how we shop from our homes, connect with our old colleagues, learn new skills online, and even attend school through the Internet? And many more that we can point out of how powerful this internet invention is. It has simply turned the world into a small village. What a creative invention that has impacted our world positively. Just be connected and have your world at your fingertips, taking good advantage of the invention.

Another favorite invention I love a lot about the washing machine. I know some men may not value this one, but we moms doing the washing understand the impact of this invention in relieving us of stress. If your children are still tender, you will value this invention because weekly, it feels like I opened a laundry shop looking at the trailer of dirty clothes glaring at me to wash. Now with the aid of a washing machine, I save my time, my energy, and even the back pain I feel most of the time, bending and scrubbing clothes.

Furthermore, one thing I would want to innovate is a gadget that could locate missing items! I really don't like searching for things for many hours or minutes, wasting my precious time. Humans are bound to misplace items no matter how careful we can be. So imagine a device that can comfortably locate misplaced items; that would be great, and makes life easier for us, I think.

Overall, innovations should serve us and not replace the human touch where necessary.
