My Dear Diary // Ladies of Hive Community Contest #158

Dear Diary, what a typical day in the life of a mom like me! It was hectic yet fruitful. What baffles me is how I got the energy to accomplish a lot of tasks slated for this day! You know? I used to think that I was bad at multitasking, but today's activities proved me wrong despite waking up late due to the heavy rain that blessed our beautiful city at the early hour of the day after several days of hot weather.

My alarm ⏰ couldn't wake me up as usual. I was deeply sleeping, enjoying the cold weather while I tucked myself in my duvet. I was hearing the sound of my alarm but thought it was in my dream world, only to struggle to wake by 5:30 am. Oh no! I hissed! How on earth can I meet up with preparing the kids for school by this time of the day considering that I have to prepare fresh food and have them packed in their lunch boxes? The school bus does not keep late at all; once it is 7 a.m., the driver will start horning at my gate. However, I made up my mind to wear my multitasking skills, and viola, I had everything ready, including preparing my two older boys for school, just by 7:02 am. The school bus driver didn't have to wait much; what a hot session I had at that early hour, but I got a deep relief with a smile on my face when the bus drove off. I silently whispered to my inner self, saying, "Yes, I made it😍.

Next on my to-do list for the day... My last baby had an appointment with an ophthalmologist at the clinic. I couldn't afford to miss that, as I needed a review from the doctor on how my baby's treatment has been progressing. After meeting with the doctor, she confirmed that there's been huge progress since her diagnosis. This news alone brought a smile to my face. Heading home to quickly attend to some compulsory chores as a mom While doing laundry, I was already thinking of Hive and lots of activities to catch up with before my two older sons return from school with their usual homework, which definitely will need my guidance.

Dear diary, getting involved with the Hive Zealy campaign has been fun until this eleventh hour, when lots of tasks got me choking. Today has been unusual with the tasks. Attending to my baby's constant requests for attention and those zealy quests was difficult. I couldn't neglect any of the tasks; my baby is my biggest responsibility; however, I needed to work on the Zealy quest fast enough to maintain a decent leaderboard for a better prize at last. Of course,my hustling has been for my kids and family at large; however, I was able to strike a balance. ⚖️ hopefully I will smile at the end of the marathon.

I did have a reasonable amount of time to guide my older kids with their academic tasks while we practiced our daily reading routine; however, when it was time for me to attend to my online activity, which popped up again as an urgent quest, the kids were thoughtful enough to give mommy some time to work even when they still needed more of my presence with them. I guess their little minds are experiencing some kind of maturity to think that mommy needs to work and make a living for their sake. I was fulfilled to hear their kind words and encouragement to reach the finish line regarding the campaign I am involved with.

Overall, it was a productive day, with lots of tasks both off-chain and on-chain. I feel fulfilled and happy.
