Meet Up With A Fellow Crypto Enthusiast 

There was something remarkable about my yesterday aside from the nice experience I had at my place of worship. If there's a day that I wish I could have experienced a long time ago, then it should be yesterday. I'm starting my hive activities a bit late today because of the outcome of yesterday's encounter, which got me glued to my crypto wallet and other exchanges earlier this morning. Let me give you a rundown about yesterday, what I achieved, and how I have applied the same energy today and going forward.

I woke up very early, as usual, at 5 a.m. and headed to my kitchen to get the Sunday rice prepared before my kids woke up. We are to attend the 10:30 a.m. service, so I had enough time to get some chores ready before church. When it was 7 a.m., I was already done preparing the food. At this time, my kids were already up and waiting for me in the living room so we could say our morning prayer together. We quickly prayed, and I served them their breakfast. After that, I made them start studying their books 📚, since we still have enough time to get ready for church. This is in preparation for their second term examination starting by Friday this week,and of course I didn't leave them unattended, I studied with them for an hour, set questions based on what they studied,d and marked them for them. I was satisfied with this first achievement, so we prepared and headed to the church.

By 1:04 pm, the church ended, but since my two older boys have been attending catechism class, which used to be by 4 p.m. every Sunday, but recently, they changed the time to 3 p.m. My husband is out of Lagos, so it's only me and the kids. I thought of going back home and coming back by 3 p.m., but it looked stressful. I took the decision to stay back until 3 p.m. for their short catechism class; fortunately, I had their exercise books in my big handbag, and I made them use the waiting period to continue studying their books instead of running around with other kids. Trust an African woman like nkem😌, haha. I also used the time to check hive and engaged a little.

I had newbies meeting with the founder and some other hivers yesterday by 5 p.m. same yesterday, which I joined immediately when I got home with the kids. It was a short and interesting meeting about the April 2024 batch for newbie applications. Naturally, I feel this excitement getting involved with the newbies program, so the time I gave the meeting was worth it, and if you are a newbie reading this post, be on the lookout for the next newbies application post, a program designed to mentor newbies on hive.

At this point, I believe you may be curious to know about my meet-up with the crypto enthusiast, right? Especially with the upcoming bull run,hehe. So two years ago, I interacted with this friend of mine when I visited her fashion and design store, and she told me about crypto trading as one of her side businesses, now her main business. There's a particular coin (DIONE) that she heard about its potential back then, and she asked me to buy at least with #50,000 of it, which is about $60 now or so, but then I didn't even process all the information she gave me then. I was new to Hive and still trying to understand how crypto and Hive work, I didn't open my mind to processing her information because it looked complicated in my eyes. Instead, I told her that I was on Hive Blockchain and I was okay with that alone.

This friend didn't force me but rather shared the same information with other of her friends and family, and according to her, it was only her younger sister who took up the risk and bought the coin. $60 coin rose to 3k dollars even without bull run two years ago, and due to fear, she sold hers. To date, her younger sister is still holding the same coin with 19k dollars as the current value of her investment. Recently, she called me to find out how I was preparing for the bull run; however, she wasn't satisfied with my answer, and thus the meet up yesterday evening.

She commended my effort on Hive after checking my profile and insisted that I diversify. She took me on a tour of different low-cap coins—coins that have not pumped much—and asked me to always read about the history of each coin before deciding which one to buy and hold. Even though she invested in several coins with huge dollars, she said I could start buying as little as 1-2 dollars each on those coins. In her words, it doesn't matter how small you started; get involved, as crypto is a game changer.

I had known that I am still a newbie when it comes to cryptocurrency; however, being in hive gave me the little knowledge I have today, and the physical meet-up with this friend yesterday brought about a unique exposure to the crypto world. It was indeed a remarkable day of learning new things with greater achievements, looking forward to the same energy henceforth.
