Me, a comedian? Well, kind of...and more! - LOH #247
Lately, I found some kind of joy in doing certain things that gladden my heart. They are my most recent favorites, and of course no one gets bored or tired of doing what he or she finds joy in. It can even be a mood booster, & a game changer in that moment you feel unusual; that's for me anyways.
Don't scream! But you might be surprised about the first on my list. Even my humble self doesn't know how I got here, but the truth is that I found myself loving telling jokes 😃. Not that I am trying to become a comedian or anything serious around that, but I simply love hearing other people laugh. I don't know how I do it recently, to be sincere, but I don't just end conversations with people nowadays without cracking jokes. I must find something to make people laugh or a friend laugh out loud in the midst of our casual chats.
One of my friends said the other day, "Nkem, there is no dulling moment with you. You simply know how to put someone in the mood of laughter even when the person seems to be going through bad moments." How I loved to hear this from her. The truth is that a lot of people have unspoken worries, people struggling to navigate the hard times over the world's harsh economy. Some persons even fake smiles, but deep down, they are going through sadness, and what better way to ignite laughter in such a person? It might not be a solution to his or her problem, but somehow, jokes could give relief, and for the moment, you laugh away your worries and feel alright a bit, and life goes on, hehe.
Another of my most recent favorite things to do is playing sports, specifically football.
Maybe I will emerge as the Ronaldo of our time, who knows, hahaha, but then, I don't know how I fell in love with football recently to the point that I don't allow my hubby to rest each time he is at home but hold him back for a short time for a football game in our compound. These days my kids are on holiday, and it is another moment I enjoy this favorite activity with them. Good enough; they are all boys who love football so dearly, so it’s always a blast!

That's good. Some people are good to make others laugh. I am not such a person and I don't want to be. But I can react well based on situation and I can make a serious environment lighter depending on person.

I used to love playing football with my brothers, while I’m putting in so much energy I realize they’re holding back so as not to hurt me. I can tell playing with your husband and sons will be so much fun.
