I Overpaid a Supplier Out of Tiredness

A few days ago, I discussed customers' feedback and how it's a fuel for growth in business. No doubt it is, and due to the positive feedback I have been getting so far, I see growth little by little in my new business. Some feedback that needed adjustment wasn't taken for granted either. All hands have been on deck to see that we are making good progress.

However, I must admit that this whole thing has been coming with stress and pressure. As a new entrepreneur, you wouldn't blame me, lol. I am trying my best to be strong, but the energy demand is just heavy, but it's fine. I believe that a time will come when I will have a good number of staff to oversee certain things as the business continues to expand, thereby lessening the stress on my path.My husband in the east has been controlling things over the phone; however, the physical stress lies only on me for now until he returns back to join me a little in running the business before he leaves again for an outside job. I am not complaining about the stress anyways, but something happened...

A huge financial mistake was made due to how much I was overly stressed out. Two days ago, a call came; it was my husband. The call woke me up from a deep sleep, but I just had to answer him. Then he instructed that I make a transfer of money for nylon supply. It was a huge transfer, and reluctantly, I did that transfer with overpayment—big money I overpaid with. 🤭

My tired eyes didn't notice the mistake; I just forwarded the transaction receipt and slept back. After many hours, he called me back and said the nylon producer noticed the huge amount of money I overpaid, and he is requesting my account number to return the excess money.I couldn't believe I made such a mistake. I used to pay attention to details, but that day, I couldn't cheat nature. The best I would have done was continue my sleep and do the transfer when I must have rested from being overly tired, but no, hubby was on my neck to do the transfer so we can have the nylon ready before we run out of products available in the factory.

It is quite unlike me to make such a mistake; even my former boss always commended me for always paying attention to little office errors in those days. As I received the refund of the overpayment, I kept glaring at the credit alert. A lot of thought ran through my mind. I would have lost such a large amount of money if the receiver was a wicked man or something. He wouldn't have drawn our attention to that but maybe eat up the money. I was just lucky.

Overall, this experience taught me a valuable lesson again, which is that rest is very important. If we are overwhelmed, it could lead to a costly mistake, especially when money is involved. I better be in a good state of mind before making any serious money transactions.
