Fame Looks Beautiful from Afar, Until You’re Inside It

Some people do desire to be famous secretly but don't totally understand what they want to get into. Looking at being famous at the surface, it sounds interesting, you know. Getting very visible, being recognised and people paying attention to you is something someone might crave for. Anyway, that's for some people. But then, looking at this deeply, I see it as give-and-take stuff.

No doubt, being famous attracts more money to many celebrities, but at what cost? You cease to have secrets the day you become famous. You cough, it's online, you step out, and all the info will be displayed on the Internet. If you are the type that is married with kids, okay now, your children too wouldn't have their private life in peace; their life will just be displayed on the Internet. I mean, it's simply uncomfortable, you know.

I think I will feel more okay having reservations about my life; I don't enjoy it when I lose that touch of my private life. If by mistake I have little family issues, it will be interpreted in 7 colours on the Internet, all because of being famous. The part that surprises me the most is that the majority of these celebrities do anything just to become visible. The fake life, the fake content just to attract people's attention, the fake marital violence – name it, it's baffling what some people do to keep up with being famous.

Choice is different. I must say, what people like sometimes is just weird to me, lol, but it's okay as long as you find joy in whatever you do, but definitely, being famous is not something I have thought about, at least at this point in my life. I don't think I have the strength to work and keep up with the game, so obviously I am not going to embrace the famous offer for free no matter how much it will change the financial story of my family and me; that's just it.

But let's be honest here, being famous can change a lot of things for good in a way. Famous people can command respect, and they are being treated like they are special breeds, lol. I have seen how much money can be made with being famous and much more. All these may sound so tempting to desire that, I must say, when some persons chase fame, it's understandable; after all, life is a choice.

Overall, I prefer having full control of my privacy, without having people whom I never even meet suddenly start having opinions about my life. I have watched two public figures I admire a lot handle fame with all modesty and humility, yet people still criticise them and fabricate all manner of rumours even when they don't know them personally. That alone is enough for me to rethink fame, whether it's as sweet as it looks.
