An Accident That Left Me Reflecting Deeply

I witnessed a terrible accident yesterday that got me shivering! I went home , sat down, and really reflected on what really happened over there on the highway. I brought out my phone to view again the picture I managed to take after some guys were able to remove the driver who died instantly from the car and rushed two people to the hospital, and I couldn't control the tears rolling down my cheeks.

All I have been doing since after this accident yesterday has been reflection upon reflection. Like someone will just wake up one morning to his or her death? Just like that? That's terrible! Death is indeed inevitable, but there are some deaths that are quite painful. You left your home and bid a goodbye to your family , only for them to receive your corpse? God forbid!

All through midnight , I kept thinking about my life. If I were the one that died like that , am I truly in a good relationship with God? Is there any sin I am still finding difficult to let go of? What have I achieved in life that I will be proud of?. Do I have anyone that offended me that I kept postponing to forgive? How about the little crypto I have? Does my spouse have my password and keys? And lots of other thoughts running through my mind!

If you look closely at the image above, you will notice a smaller car under the jeep. The driver with the jeep is in a different lane driving at a crazy speed as if someone were pursuing him or he was drunk or something. But within a twinkling of an eye, he missed it! He jumped over to the other lane, losing control with high speed, and then climbed on top of that smaller car , crushing the car and the driver almost into pieces. It was bad! Within a minute , all these things I am explaining here already happened and claimed a life.

I feel terribly hurt and pity the poor driver who was driving responsibly with a lower speed, but then the carelessness of the driver with a Jeep claimed his life just like that and severely injured the people he was carrying in the back seat. It took lots of effort to even bring out the dead body. Guys, were tearing his car just to have access and save his life, but it was too late!.. A lot of WHYs ran into my mind, but it's quite unfortunate.

It's painful to be a victim of what you know nothing about. Suffering over another person's mistake. That's why it's important that we shouldn't rush out in the morning without praying to God, no matter how late we may be to wherever we are rushing to. I am not saying that those who were victims in the accident didn't pray, but one thing I know is that we can't go wrong with praying to God always; it goes a long way to save our lives. Even if I die on the road , let it be that I prayed, asking God for forgiveness before meeting my death on the way.
