A Day at the Beach With My Kids

My kids and I visited the beach for some time away from home. The weather has been very unfriendly, very hot with a lot of discomfort.

The climate change in my country took another turn this period, and it has been surprising to many people. If you visit social media, you will see posts from different people complaining of a heat wave when we are supposed to be experiencing the harmattan season.

I read a funny comment from a random author, and the guy said that God wants to punish us for all our sins in this country, and so there is a heat wave when we are supposed to have cold weather this period. Another person said we are experiencing hell on earth, lol.

Overall, it's been very hot weather over here, to the point that electric fans can't solve the issue except for AC, and in the absence of a power supply, using AC becomes a challenge too.

So my kids craved a beach outing, at least to calm their bodies from the unfavorable weather. I concur with them, got set for the bill involved, and off we went.

The atmosphere at the beach is always calming, refreshing, and relaxing. I loved the movement of the water waves, the breezes, the wind, and how some people swim like a fish inside water. There are a lot of beautiful things to behold over there, forgetting my worries and just feeling alright.

As we kept exploring nature over there, my kids wanted to throw themselves inside the water just like they saw some adults do, forgetting that they have no swimming skills, lol. I think I am so scared of water, unlike them; they just wanted to explore the water and have fun, but the speed of the waves from the sea is too fearful to play with.

This time, I didn't just allow them to have a horse ride like before or build a sandcastle over there, and they weren't happy about it. I have my readings anyways, but kids will be kids... lol

Overall, it was a three-hour time with nature and with my kids...we had a nice time, and I felt I should go home to face the hot weather as usual.

There was a playground at the beach too for the kids, and as we wanted to step out, my kids insisted on having some fun with the bouncing castle.

They did and were happy for an evening outing so refreshing and relaxing, creating nice memories and family bonding all along.
