I love American football. It's really the only sport I watch. They are trying to make it safer, but too safe is not good, in my opinion. Pretty soon they would be out there just playing touch football (they touch you and you're down). No, there has to be some roughness to it. At least they have pads. When I was younger, I played a lot of football and we never had any pads.

I've had this same discussion with some individuals and it's the same reason they gave, the roughness in the game is what makes it fun. I get it. I just wish the organizing bodies can make better regulations to safeguard the players.
