Toys Design & Render: Shapes and Hive 3d Model in 3ds Max
Hello everyone, I'm here again to show something fun I did not too long ago... its Shapes and hive :D. I was just having a creative block and then it occurred to me to do something fun while I wait for that aha idea moment to come to do something more complex and challenging...
While I was going through contents here on Hive, I looked at the logo... even though I've seen the logo countless times... lol... I thought to myself, "wouldn't it be cool to model this logo in 3d - just for the fun of it... At least it is something I can do quickly while I was still trying to come up with that big idea for my personal project.
Modeling the Hive logo wasn't difficult at all as it is just basic shapes with no complicated curves or geometry... However, after modeling the Hive logo in 3d, it didn't look as interesting as I wanted it after the first render pass, so I decided to add a few other basic shapes and make it feel like toys for kids which made it look a lot more fun for me.
Imagine if I had a 3d printer, it would have been a great idea to just print them out and have then on my desk. it would have been so so amazing... But unfortunately, I don't own a 3d printer but I still love the image and how the overall look turned out. Maybe I might just print it out and hang it on the wall or something :D. who knows. I have to say, this is one of the easiest models i have created in 3ds max but at the same time, it is one of the fun for me. Sometimes the simple things are the most fun. lol. Thanks for checking this out. Have a great day.
