Weekend Project Check-In
Hello all!
With a few hours to myself on this beautiful Sunday, finishing my class earlier than expected, I went into the garage and decided to play around with some painting.
Enrolling in class is part of a self-discipline journey I've been on and getting back into writing a journal, or blogging, is good practice and a part of that discipline process. So here I am.
I received a laser engraver for Christmas last year which I was working with the other day when my daughter asked me to put her name on a small plank I had sitting around. After a little Photoshop work I loaded the image up and engraved it into the wood. Then busted out the box of acrylic paints and added some color. She loved it!
That got me in the mode to do more so I grabbed a few more pieces and ran them through the laser. Off to the garage I went to paint the day away.
It's a-mee Mario!
By request, Majora's Mask.
And this sun, which I thought looked cool. So it got painted too.
Without the crazy summer humidity I'm going to be out in the garage a bit more. After some more pieces are made I'll post them up. I'm currently working on a box for guitar picks and brainstorming more ideas!
I've been on Hive for a while, in and out, checking my feed about weekly but it's been years since I've posted. I feel lost at times with the changes I'm not familiar with on here but I will be re-learning as I go.
Thanks for reading!
