A Pile of Engraving Projects
What's going on Hive!
A lot of small, random pieces I've made are starting to pile up in my workshop!
In the process of trying different materials and experimenting with ideas I'm starting to get quite a collection, so today I will share a few projects I was sorting through.
Boho Sun Box
This was one of the first images I utilized A.I. to make. It's very close to what I had in mind when writing the prompt for it so it was a for sure keeper.
I've put this sun on a few different pieces but I was really satisfied with the way it turned out on this box. It was the first time I added color to the image and I may experiment with different colors again soon.
Not sure what I plan to store in my new little storage container but something special will go in it!
Potted Plant Plank
This was my first attempt at painting on an engraving.
It was a spur of the moment Hey, let me try this.. hence why it's on scrap and not much effort into details.
I can't say I'm upset with how it looks. There's a couple ideas I have that this may become a part of in the future.
Dog Tags
I think I had watched some YouTube videos about people engraving on dog tags at some point in the beginning of my laser journey, however I likely got the idea to try them when I purchased a bulk bag of dog tags off Temu real cheap.
I originally started by putting QR codes on them for my co-workers to use as scanner logins. Our job just gave us paper print-outs to use and I seized the opportunity to utilize my engraver.
Images usually look amazing them also, especially the darker colors. The package was majority black tags, which is fine because the engravings show on those the best.
Smoking Cat
I added smoking cat on here because it's a perfect example of what a pile of engravings means. I made it forever ago and although I like it and think it's awesome.. it just sits.
I haven't added color or stain to it. I haven't used it on anything since this piece. I haven't even thought about it honestly.
Poor kitty.
Thank you for reading my post!
hahah the cat smoking a doobie is funny lookin. unless you have to mass produce these for some reason, i feel like you shouldnt use AI to make the art
I agree, I do get some art from friends to use. My skills aren't quite where I'd like them to be to use them😅 so I use AI to fill in for now.
It's very nice! What a great job!
Thank you!🙏
