RE: Are games already as realistic as it gets?

I couldn’t agree more. I loved the original games like Doom, Duke Nuke em, early call of duty etc etc. The early games being sci-fi, fantasy were not so bad but where the reality gets closer to the bone, I worry a lot. I know exactly what you mean when it comes to GTA and it has the same effect on me, even the very first version which was bas-relief made me drive aggressively back home from my friends house.
Luckily for you and I we’re well balanced people but there are some who’ve lost touch with that division of fantasy and reality.
We do need to zoom out and take a long hard look at all of the things that are wrong with humanity. Banning things never solves a thing, that will make them more determined to get hold of firearms from every worse sources than they already do.
We need to reinvent our world in the hope we put the most volatile of people on a better path out to give them more love In the first place.
The answer isn’t an obvious one.
Thanks for the substantial comment to which I don't have much to disagree. Ban can work on some things but not sure this is one of them and as you say the answer is far from obvious. From an even wider viewing angle I tend to think that people's problems are not exactly solvable at the end of the day hence they come back knocking our door even after we "solve" them. On the other hand, even if this is true, we shouldn't give up. It's disappointing to realise that all you can do with mankind's malfunctions is control them for some time till they get out of control again but it's even worse to give up and... it is what it is.
Have a nice day!
P.S. And thanks for reblogging too!
You’re welcome. Your post was a very well presented argument indeed and everyone should see it.
At the moment it is one of the least seen haha. I really appreciate your comment.
