Boat for sale
On a walk earlier this week I spotted this crazy boat. For sale it says! You kidding me?! It’s basically a shed on a boat.
There is a stretch of the River Thames just beyond Reading that’s very scruffy, full of rough looking boats, some submerged and others that look barely fit for purpose. I’ve never seen a soul near any of them but they’re on the Thames path, cheek and jowl with the more upmarket areas such as Sonning.
I doubt any of them pay mooring fees either.
It’s nuts!

I'm glad someone's getting free real estate! Looks like a rough life in those boats. Did you see the canal sinkhole and the boats going down it? We were going to buy a narrow boat once.
Yes! The sinkhole was really bad. A kind family have helped accommodate one of the narrowboat owners whilst they get things back together. Sounds like their boats are wrecked though, maybe more inside than out.
We are thinking of buying a narrowboat in the future ourselves funnily enough. Not to live in but as an escape from time to time.

Wow! This boat looks like a mini house, the structure is not looking like the regular kind of boat that I'm used to.
