We built a new thing!!! A sports thing.

Called it Sportsblock.

Sports on the blockchain but it sounded cool anyway.

Now by saying we I am being overly generous as it was @blanchy who pushed the idea from day one and has built everything.

I'm just along for the ride more or less, but it's a project that I've always had an interest in and a vision that I've always had of getting built.

Since the early days of Hive communities i've always wanted to see them stand alone from the chain and bring the best of web2 features onto web3 and grow as a hub of content and fun.

Will we succeed???

Who knows....

Judging on past hive projects and crypto projects in general the odds are against us succeeding but we are going to give it a good go regardless.

I've spend nine years on hive failing away miserably so it won't be for lack of trying anyway.

It's only by trying that we can see how hard it will or won't be. Surprisingly it's a lot easier than a lot we realized and Blanchy has been able to bring in features that we've bee asking for with ages and turn them around in a few days.

• Ad Revenue.

And a lot more, with a lot more to come.

Blanchy said that it's been easy as he can stand on the work that's been done in the past but it just goes to show what can be done with the right vision.

Match threads are a personal favorite of mine and will be something that we are going to develop out in the future with more features and more access.

Light accounts will allow us to bring in non hive users going forward which is a big key for our future growth as the hive userbase is currently limited and we want to expand it into the thousands.

We are not asking for any DHF funding as it's not that expensive to set up and run the site with the plan being to create value behind our token that will be the long term reward for the work that we are doing now.

However if you do want to support the project in any way then any delegations, votes or purchases of our "MEDALS" token will help to get us off the ground and moving forward.

We both love Hive and love sports so this is a project that we are going to put a lot of work into over the next twelve months and then for years to come. It's already come a long way in the past few weeks so now we re looking for users to come onto the site. Chat sports and see what breaks....
