SKR Airdrop - 21st January
Last summer I finally received my Solana Seeker phone that I had pre-ordered since 2024.

While the phone itself is a decent spec and runs very well for me part of the attraction has always been the airdrops associated with the first gen of the seeker that made every person who bought it a profit.
The whole thing is a bit gimicky to some and since I'm not an avid Solana user I never got into the various apps mostly due to how shit they are compared to the web3 apps that I'm used to.
IT will probably improve over time but the solana apps are so far below the hive apps that it's not even funny. Most don't even work but there is a top tier airdrop for developers who launched on the Solana app store which led to a lot of crap being launched.

Users: Anyone who activated their Seeker Genesis Token during Season 1
Developers: Teams who shipped quality apps to the dApp Store during Season 1
All Season 1 participants are assigned to one of five tiers:
👑 Sovereign - 750,000 SKR
✨ Luminary - 125,000 SKR
🛡️ Vanguard - 40,000 SKR
⛏️ Prospector - 10,000 SKR
🔍 Scout - 5,000 SKR
Developer Eligibility: Shipped a quality app during Season 1? You're eligible for 750,000 SKR. Check the Publishing Portal to claim.

Now since I did little to no interacting with the solana eco-system other than a few basic trades I'm just expecting to be in the lowest category of airdrop with a slight hope of making prospector on the outside.
The airdrop opens on the 21st of January and runs for 90 days before closing and users will miss their opportunity to claim the free tokens.
There is also the chance to stake immediately and start earning rewards of more SKR at what looks to be 25% APR.
It will be interesting to see if the token has any value and whether people will stake or sell when it goes live next week.
Hopefully it turns into a good one for some people and a few hive users if there are any others that bought the phone.
