Should artists speak out.
Irish rap group Kneecap are facing more backlash and controversy after their capacity show in Glastonbury.
The trio have been under a lot of pressure form the US and UK state since performing at Coachella earlier in the year and showcasing the horrific abuses going on in Gaza at the moment.
This caused outrage among the Israeli bought politicians and celebrities who attack anybody that is expressing outrage against the horrific scenes goin on in Palestine at the moment.
Apparently it's now anti semitic to say that Israeli troops are bombing and killing innocent civilians in huge numbers despite all facts pointing to that being true. Just because Israel is a Jewish state speaking out against their atrocities is anti Jewish???
It's not. It's anti murder. Anti war crimes. Anti cruelty.
Religion has nothing to do with it.
The scary part is how many British and American politicians are willing to ignore these facts in the interest of business, money and power. Afraid to speak out against the Israeli government for fear of financial backlash.
So many people who have spoken out against these atrocities have been targets of the establishment and outher sources that are willing to kill off their careers just for speaking out in public.
Kneecap, specifically member Liam O'Hanna (Mo Chara), is scheduled for a court hearing in the UK on August 20, 2025, related to a terrorism charge. The charge stems from allegedly displaying a Hezbollah flag at a concert in London in November 2024, which is illegal under UK law as Hezbollah is a proscribed organization.
For waving a flag??? There are people who have committed fraud, killed people, sex crimes and don't end up in court but he waved a flag.
Gary Lineker has recently criticized the BBC for its handling of Gaza conflict coverage, particularly for dropping a documentary. He has also expressed support for Palestine, which has sparked controversy and contributed to his departure from the BBC in May 2025.
Forced from his job in the BBC for having an opinion and creating awareness of the tragic situation in Palestine??
As of July 8, 2025, several celebrities have been targeted for supporting Palestine, facing consequences ranging from job losses to social media backlash. These cases reflect the polarized nature of the Israel-Palestine conflict and the risks associated with taking public stances, particularly in the entertainment industry. The impact varies, with some experiencing career setbacks and others navigating public criticism, highlighting ongoing debates about freedom of expression and political advocacy.
There are dozens more of these cases to be found where highlighting, mentioning genocide or the conflict has led to targeted attacks on the individuals and severe consequences for them.
So much for free speech in USA or UK.
Only if you are saying what they want you to....
Not if you are talking about their support of a genocide.
Since the attacks started it's estimated that up to 100,000 have been killed in the country. That's from a population of 5.5m or 2% of the entire population.
If you killed off 2% of the USA that would be almost 7,000,000 people.
Obviously the conflict is not all one way as there was a huge terrorist attack in October two years ago but what has happened since is not proportionate. Is not acceptable and should be condemned form every reasonable government.
The fact that it's the actors and musicians that are speaking the most sense is sad to see. Especially when they are facing such consequences for having a conscience and a soul.
Hamas are a terrorist organization and what they did was a disgrace without excuse. Again the killing of innocent people is never ok.
What we have seen in our own country is that these organizations will thrive when the people have nowhere else to turn to. When people are under constant attack and persecution. You will always find space for these groups to grow and recruit if you create the right conditions.
The only way to break the cycle of terrorism and murder on both sides is by sitting down and making deals that both sides can live with. That however takes some very special and reasonable people which are few and far between after generations of war.

There will never be peace as long as each of the side doesn't recognize the existence of the other... Same as with Iran, there will never be peace as long as Iran declares it will delete Israel from maps
