Consistency pays off.
Since the start of the new year I've come back bigger and stronger than ever before.
Hive is the safe haven of the crypto world. Not in terms of price or community in some cases but in terms of survival.
By all reasonable assumptions this chain should be dead in the water by now. After all of the drama over the past decade, the state of the crypto markets, the waste of community funds and the general decline of interest in crypto projects in general we could have faded out a long time ago.
And yet here we are, all these years later still with some of our original users, original apps and new ones popping up from time to time.
If we could just solve the token price situation then the place would be buzzing and flooded with new users. Until then it is a chance for all of us to grow as quickly as we can while the going is easy.
If the community ever does go 10x then you will see how fast the rewards dry up as it gets spread thinner and thinner.
That's where consistency comes into play. Since January I've taken my new found enthusiasm and managed a two week posting streak.
It really shows in your account when the rewards get distributed every day.
That's how I managed to break the 100k mark earlier this week and you can see where the top ups come from.
More posts = more rewards.
It also moves me up to 210 in the overall hive power rankings which i have been climbing for the past few years. A lot of the names above me are recognizable but I'm confident of overtaking them all soon enough as I post and reply more than they do from my observations.
The rankings are part of the gamification of the chain and half the fun. Writing is only part of the enjoyment and building you HP is another big part of why we turn up every day.
If we ever do get recognized or popularized then it will be very profitable but until then it's just numbers on a webpage for the most part.
It's been along time since I was able to stay so active on chain and feels good to be able to do it and have th einterest again.
