Another Splinterlands season is over.

Progress is going good at the moment. I'm working my way through the reward deck albeit the legendary section is notoriously hard to complete.

I have maxed the commons and the rares. I'm only three cards short on my last epic so it's not in a bad place. Every season is rushing by at the moment trying to finish off these last few cards and make these final yards are very important.

I've already used up my first allocation of major and ultimate chests from the end of season rewards so the only thing for it now is to go all legendary cards with the rest. I'm still 15 legendary cards short but I've hit the same cards over and over again which is very frustrating.

It's not even worth burning them at 2,500 Glint since it will take 14 cards to get just one more which is probably a double anyway. I'll try to unbind a few of them and sell for profit after the run is over. Might be able to buy the last few cards needed to finish out the collection if i get a chance.

I really don't understand why they have a time limit on unbinding cards. Surely it should be indefinite and encourage people to burn more DEC. If i see cards for sale at $15 that i can unbind for 10,000 DEC then I will be doing it and trying to make a sale. On top of that it's very hard to complete the reward set down the line as there are so few unbound cards from the chaos deck. The ones that are there being far too expensive to be worth the hassle. It might be something to look at going forward since the soulbound cards are a great success but they could make a few improvements. One would be to reduce the unbinding cost which would encourage more people to do it and second would be to have infinite time to unbind and keep the market liquid. Just a thought.

Anyway. What did I manage to pull from this seasons chest?

Ultimate Chests.

A double legendary that I already have, an epic that i really needed and a good bit of energy. Ok but not the best set of chests that I have ever opened.

Major Chests

16 epics and four golds isn't a bad haul for 150 chests. Lots of other bits and pieces as well but this is the pick of what I received. I'm happy enough with that since Olivia of the Brook is the last epic that i need to round off that set and I got a lot of those from the chests leaving me just three short of a maxed version.

All in all it's been a good season for my gameplay with survival adding a few extra SPS to my stack. Some of it has gone back into strengthening my deck and also trying to add a few more gold cards to the collection. Since I've been using tournaments to earn more sps the best ones for prizes are the gold tournaments.

I have a good few cards and a competitive deck but don't have enough collection power to enter the gold and diamond tournaments. That's something worth fixing and I've seen some great deals out there right now for chaos gold cards. Some are just a dollar or two more expensive than the regular foil which is madness. I'm trying to buy the gold and sell the regular where I can to build a stronger gold deck.

Unfortunately there is never enough funds for everything that I would like to buy.

Try for yourself.

If you haven't played the game before then now is the best time to join. Today is much better than tomorrow and a lot better than later.

While other web3 games are failing on all sides, Splinterlands has been here for seven years and going strong.

What's really worse is the price of unbinding cards, which is exactly the same as the purchase price.
