Workplaces as Windows Into Human Behavior
If there’s one thing I wanted to do some much in my life as a child, it was to grow up quickly and find a job which will pay me a lot of money and I’d live happily every after.
But hey, no one told me there was more to that. Now that I’m older and working, I can tell you that I was really really delusional then, thinking that life was going to be a bed of roses. If you ask, I’d say the working environment isn’t for the week. It’s competitive and not kind to anyone.
To even find a job in my country today is a struggle so you can imagine how much work you’d have to put in, in order to have your seat where you currently work. The working environment today isn’t looking for people with grades but rather those who can do the work and some more. Because no one wants to employ someone who would end up being a burden for them.
I’ve been in a working space for a number of years and there’s so much that I have learnt while working with people from diverse backgrounds and all walks of life. Today, I’d like to share a few things that I have come to learn from my years of experience in the working field.
My number one lesson would be to always do your job and just that. Most people unfortunately find themselves doing the work of others at the work place for different reasons. For some, they think they are helping out while others do that to try to impress or get attention. But what they don’t know is that, people will take advantage of that and make you do all their work for them. So, at the end of the day, you’d do your job and another persons own and you’d still end up with the same pay, and some more stress. So, stick to your description and do what you’re being paid to do.
Next lesson would be to not overstep your boundaries. In the working environment, there are so many kinds of people you’d come across. And if there’s one thing you’d like to avoid in the workplace, it would be disrespect. So, know limit with people at the work place. Don’t find yourself in places you’re not invited or taking part in conversations you have not been invited to. This will save you from a lot of trouble at the work place.
I believe these two lessons are enough for you to actually work wherever you find yourself with little to no stress.
All images belong to me.
It is a motivation to never give up in whatever thing your doing but believe that the future is better.
That’s true. Thanks for passing by.
Grades isn't talking anymore, but to work, and always be ready to work, and not tired.
Nothing is bed of roses. Although, i as well thought so as a child, but it turns out it wasn't the way i thought.
Life is a battle.
I wish it was not battle.
