Welcoming Tomorrow's Leaders: Highlights From The YALI RLC Welcome Ceremony
Hello there,
If you read my previous post you’ll know that I’m currently attending a training and after all the unfortunate things that happened to me I still made it to the venue.
Upon arrival I checked in and got my room, then we had some early morning exercises to do continued by breakfast. I must say, our schedule for this training is really packed and we are actually supposed to be more time conscious as you know we Africans are always late.
After breakfast we headed to the meeting hall for our first seminar which was taking my an author. He coached us on how to become good leaders and this session took place for an hour , we were allowed to ask questions and you know we did.😅 We then went out for snack break and we also used that time as an opportunity to connect with each other.
We moved on in for another session at 11:00am and that ended at around 12:00pm only for us to have another session from 12:00pm to 13:00pm. At this point I was really famished cos I’m not really a breakfast person so I didn’t eat much at breakfast. It seems the time started to move slower than usual just because I needed food to eat.😂
Whew, it was time for lunch and you should see the queue. Well, I joined the queue and in no time I got my food. I ate almost everything cos the food was good. I know my Nigerian brothers will say Ghanain jollof isn’t the best but I’m here to tell you that your fellow Nigerians went for a second round.😂😅
After lunch, I went to register at the registration booth with my documents and moved on to get some water since they didn’t provide water for us in our room. We were to have a welcome dinner with our sponsors at 5:00pm so we advised to be there on time. I actually didn’t know what to wear cos I didn’t come along with a dinner wear but then we were told to represent our countries so an African wear will do.
Guys, no need to talk too much but this dinner was lit🔥😅 I wouldn’t even call it a dinner cos most of us left the food to dance. I didn’t know Africans could leave food to dance. Well, I hope you enjoy the video.😅❤️

I can't stop laughing cause of how you made everyone sound like alvin and the chipmunks by speeding up the video. From the amount of dancing that wwas done i can tell you really enjoyed the ceremony.

I don’t know why but this video gave me some sort of anxiety. It’s about the fact that you are probably meeting all these people for the first time and you are able to relate with them so well. I applaud that.
Let’s all agree to the fact that you can’t dance😂😂. But this program looks really fun without you needing to tell us.
