Unfinished Business: The Goals 2025 Didn’t Quite Deliver

A week ago, I thought to myself that the year 2025 has been one of the fastest years for me. But just yesterday, I sat to take a look back at everything and I’m starting to think that this year has been one of the longest years I’ve experienced. I’m having this change of thoughts because when I take a look back at the beginning of the year till now , a lot has already gone down for me.

I started the year on a not so good note as I lost someone very close to me. It was a hard time but these are things we can’t really control and so I had to accept what was and move on with life. The next few months were quite busy for me as I had a lot on my plate, working, trying to balance my work life with my personal life and also achieving my goals alongside. As stressful as it was, I pulled through by showing up very blessed day and giving my best for the goals I wanted to achieve.

The year is fast ending in a few weeks time and when I take a look back at the journey so far, I must say I have actually been able to achieve a lot and then some more. Mostly , we do not see how much we have been able to achieve in a short while because we are more focused on getting things done and moving on to the next. And that’s why times like this are good because we get to review our year so far and be grateful for growth.

I was able to do so much for myself this year, thanks to God, myself for putting in the work and my family and friends for the support and love all year round. Amidst all the milestones and what have you throughout the year , there are some things I wasn’t able to achieve this year due to one or two reasons. One of my goals for the year was to go on a vacation to a different country because it has actually been a while I did that. I did get the opportunity to actually have a little vacation but the time was a bit tight for me and so I had to make a hard choice of prioritising one thing over the other. Looking at the number of days left to the end of the year and the work load I have , going on a trip would be close to impossible and so I have decided to shift this to next year. Hopefully, I would be able to get some free time in the first few months to do this. As they say, delay is not denial and whiles we are still alive, we would always achieve our goals if we put our minds to it.

The year 2025 has been a great one and I look forward to ending it in grand style with everyone else. Hopefully, the new year brings us new adventures , joy and happiness.
