Two Stories. One Lesson. Choose Your Circle Wisely

If there’s one thing I’ve learnt in this life, it’s the fact that what goes around, comes around. Today, a friend of mine opened her bakery shop after years of baking in her kitchen at home. This isn’t just a normal shop opening but a milestone for her.

She started as a young lady doing something she loved. Thanks to people around her, she had support to learn how to bake full time and today, she has been able to open her own shop with the support of her friends and loved ones. As a good friend who’s happy for her growth, I made it a point to be present at the opening ceremony even though I had a busy schedule and you could see the smiles on her faces just because of our presence.

On another scale, a friend of mine told me his story yesterday while we went out for lunch. Apparently, his close friend and his dad are actually envious of him and his growth and have even gone to the extent of trying to ruin his life spiritually. This is the story of two people and this shows how humans can be. Humans can be both good and bad depending on who they are.

Situations don’t make people bad, it’s really by choice if you ask me. Two different people, two different lives and two different circumstances. Since yesterday, I’ve been in deep thought about how humans can be so wicked to the extent of trying to hurt someone just because you envy their growth.

At the end of the day, it’s safe to say that each and everyone of us should make sure to have good people in our lives. Once you sense any sort of hate or envy from someone close to you, just make sure you kick them out of your life because these same people will bite you in the back when you let them have the chance to walk in and out of your life any how.

Life is hard, but don’t make wicked and selfish people make it harder for you. Have positive and thoughtful people around you all the time and you’d be on your way to attaining the best and all the good things and happiness you deserve.
