This Was My Christmas
I live for the long holidays and this year, it’s the same thing. I am always hyped up for the long holidays because I don’t usually get that much of a break all year round from my life. I barely fall sick so I can’t even lie about needing a sick leave or something. Everyday, I have to wake up and show up because why not. The year 2025 was really a year that actually broke and built me all the same. A lot happened and I was just glad to finally be able to catch a break.
Honestly, I didn’t expect or think I was going to be able to have at least some free time on my hands because I had a lot on my plate due to the fact that I had to travel for a whole before the holidays began. This year, I actually did spend my Christmas alone. I was literally holed up in my room the entire week just binging the best shows and doing God knows what.
You would probably say it’s unhealthy but our las bad decision to end the year won’t be bad at all. Well, I finally came out of my room after a long week and on Christmas Day, I managed to hang out with some of my friends whom I had not seen for some months now. It was not really something big but it was a great experience as I got to catch up with everyone and also had some fun.
And then, I came back home to my movies , work and food. The new yes has begun now and I’m already up and running about in full spirits. For me, the holidays are over but for others , I’m sure they are not. Anyways, happy new year to you and make sure to use the rest of your free day wisely because the next time you would have this again would be in about 11 month time.
