The Future of War: Less Blood, More Uncertainty

People would always use everything to Terri advantage and technology is no exception. Countries have taken it upon themselves to use their technological capabilities to develop weapons of mass destruction to protect themselves in case of a war. Over the years, wars have grown to become a normal thing in our world. Everyday, you hear of this and that country being at war. Bombs being blasted here and there, people dying and many more damages being caused. Let’s take a look at the Israel- Palestine issue. Literally an entire country has we wiped off in a span of how many years? As bad as this sounds, I’m here to tell you it could be worse.
There are so many countries having deadlier weapons than what Israel has. I’d like to assume that China can wipe out an entire country in just a second because we know where they stand with technology. But then, we thank God for peace. Speaking of robots and Ai, they are also a part of technology people have been using to their advantage most recently. I saw a video of a social media content creator who bought s robot dog and as funny as that sounds, she did actually buy it and walks it out on the streets of wherever she lives.
On today’s question for discussion, do I think countries using Ai and robots to fight wars would save more lives? Guys, I had a good laugh when I saw this prompt because I just looked at my country and my fellow neighbors and shook my head. Most African counties don’t even have basic technological tools being manufactured in their own countries and so to think that we could build robots of our is to fight wars would be a far reach for us. If the world should want for most African countries to be able to make robots before anyone goes to war, trust that the world most likely would not be at war ever again.

But then again, we can always purchase these stuff from partner countries but this would cost us a lot and until when would we keep depending on others for our own protection. Honestly, I think this idea would not hold because the main purpose of a war is to cause destruction, kill people and displace the remaining population. No one goes to war to play, it’s a game of who wins and who loses and the only way someone would feel that they have hit back and done it well is by the degree of damage they have been able to cause to the other party.
I mean, it’s worth giving a thought but I doubt any count would buy into that. Even if this idea is bought into, there will still be repercussions because AI and robots are not perfect and one mistake could lead to more harm to even people at the end of the day. But then again, you never know what our world leaders would say yes to because you most of them, it’s just a game of chess.
