Some Days I Feel 40, Other Days I Feel 12

Hello ladies,

I trust you are having a great day and enjoying your weekend as well. It’s been a while since I’ve been here and I’m very glad to be back once again sharing ideas and thoughts with beautiful ladies from all over globe.

Age they say is a number but if age was really a number, can as still qualify as a kid even at my big age. Obviously not! I look at myself today and wonder what was going through my mind when I was a kid. Did I ever think I’d get here? If my younger self met me today would they proud or think I could have done better? I guess we’ll never know.

Big regardless, one moves on. Just yesterday, I was playing in the sand happily like no ones business and today, kids call me aunty and i ask myself when we got here. I wouldn’t say I’m really old, because no matter your age, there’s always someone older than you. I’m not in my thirties just yet, but I feel I’ve done more than most thirty years olds would have achieved at their age. For someone in their mid twenties, I always tend to have different thoughts on if I feel older or younger than my age.

One day, I’m happy that I’m not very old and have the change to try out and do a lot of things in my live and the next day I’m crashing out because I think I haven’t done anything with my life. But if I’m to look at things very realistically, I’d say physically I don’t look my age. If you should ask someone to guess my age, they’d probably think I’m a high school kid because I’ve heard that so many times. Mentally, I think I’m more mature than most people my age.

This is probably because I grew up fast, not because I had to but I was thought to be smart and think things through in every situation at a very young age. As an elder sister, I automatically had to take responsibility my younger ones without anyone having to tell me. I’m literally like their second mother because I’m their safe space on most days. This made me grow a lot faster because I needed to be there for the people that looked up to me- not money wise, but emotionally, physically and any other way I could be there for them.

Honestly, generally I’d say I feel older than my age because man, I sometimes think and analyze stuff too much for my age. Sometimes I tell my mom this is the time in my life I’m supposed to be having a lot to fun but it turns out I have less fun and work more. I guess it’s just a phase which would also pass as life goes on.
