Gossip, fights, secrets,lies and everything you can ever think about. Your one stop shop is the hair salon. Growing up, I didn’t really go to the salon because my mom does all that stuff. She would wash my hair, dry it and braid. But as I grew up , I started to visit the salon and at first I thought things were off. But I soon came to realise that’s how people roll over there.

There’s this salon I visit where I am currently staying and only God knows what I hear there. I’m not much of a talker if I don’t know you. So, I just go and do my hair, press my phone and leave. The only words I’d utter on most days are the good afternoon greeting when I arrive and my thank you to the hairdresser when I’m to leave. But funny enough, I leave with more information than I came with.

This salon of mine even has a male worker there. It’s more of a hair and lash salon. So we have the hair dressing side and another side for the guy to do lashes for people. When you think of this guy, just think of bob risky in male clothing. Yes! So you can imagine what goes on there.

My hairdresser is very good at her job but apparently, she’s also good at other things too including having information on everyone. Someone can just pass and they would start talking about the person. The shop is actually located at a very busy place so you can imagine the number of people commuting that road each day. Sometimes I ask myself if they also talk about me when I pass by. But well, what’s the worst they could say.😂

Looking on the other side, I just asked a male colleague of mine if all these things happen at the barbering shop and he was like herhhh, meaning yes. He even further added that if only I know what goes on there I’d start visiting there to do my hair. Things are happening, people have information , yours is to just go and listen but just make sure your case isn’t up for discussion. I’m just sorry for those with bald head, no shade though.😂
