Rurouni Kenshin: The Final
If there’s one thing I know, it’s that you hardly find single Korean or Japanese movies around. And if you’re lucky to find one, trust it to be just as fire as you thought it would be.
Its safe to call myself a movie lover at this point but i wouldn’t call myself a big lover of Korean drama or even Japanese drama because the series they release of late are mostly love movies and at the end of the day we all know how it goes.
Today, I came across a Japanese movie and decided to give it a try, I’d say it was really worth the watch and I’d like to share it with you.
Kenshin, a young warrior and a former assassin who vowed to not kill anyone anymore after so many happenings moves to a new place to start a new life.
But his past stills haunts him as his former brother in low, Enishi vows to take revenge on him for his sister, Tamoe’s death. Enishi who was a young boy at the time of his sisters death didn’t really know what really happened. All he knew or assumed from the situation was that Kenshin had stabbed his sister to death during a fight with another person and he in his quest to avenge his sisters death spent his whole life planning to bring to his former brother in law, Kenshin so much suffering and pain.
Enishi joined a gang in Tokyo and soon he became one of the biggest gang leaders with everyone of his people ready to kill Kenshin anyday and anywhere they met him. Soon, he started to execute his revenge plan in the city Kenshin relocated to in Tokyo. First, he sent his people out to kill high ranking officers of the state, then he set fire to most parts of the city, rendering innocent people homeless. Kenshin had people to help him but Enishi came prepared with a whole battalion of warriors for this.
That didn’t end it, his people further went on to kill innocent people who had no hand in this, all to cause Kenshin pain. Then, he finally kidnapped miss Kauro, a young lady who had secretly been admiring Kenshin for so long just to hurt him.
At the end of the day, what was all this for? Would he, Enishi finally have his life long revenge or would he finally be able to understand the events behind his sisters demise?
Personally, I’d rate this movie a 10/10 because it’s the nicest and only movie I’ve seen in a while. The visuals were good, the plot was great and the characters did amazing.
It’s very difficult to come across single movies like this and this one proved to be one worth seeing. If you have between two to three hours of your day to spare, you should see this movie. And I hope you like it.
Thanks for reading.
