Navigating the Crypto World: My Insights on Safety and Trust

avatar

For so long, I had been hearing about people being scammed all the time in their quest to invest in cryptocurrencies. Soon enough, word was that the whole concept of cryptocurrency was a scam and people were advised to stay away from it. Slowly, it started to eat into my mind and eventually I also had the same mindset.

The first time I was introduced to cryptocurrencies was about 5 years ago and I instantly said no. I didn’t even what to hear about it cos I wasn’t ready to lose my money. So, it took about an extra year of convincing and explanations for me to finally agree to give things a try and that led to me joining the Hive blockchain and it’s all history now. So far, I I’ve not really had any huge issues in relation to cryptocurrencies aside the few setbacks here and there.

For most people, one mistake they always make when it comes to cryptocurrency is not learning more about what they’re venturing into and also not know what they actually want to do. It’s not always about buying a coin and selling it. You should know the kind of coin you should buy at a particular time, when to sell and many more. And beyond buying and selling, there’s the broader cryptocurrency world to explore of which only a few do. So, with little to no knowledge on what you’re getting yourself into, how do you expect to thrive in the cryptocurrency world? This is where scams and frustrations start coming in.

On another end, there’s those people who think it’s a good idea giving their monies to people they think to be crypto gurus for them to invest in their behalf. Most at times, these so called crypto gurus end up running away with huge sums of monies belonging to innocent people . If there’s one way you can get robbed or cheated, then it’s through crypto because any little mistake and everything is gone. I believe that being in the cryptocurrency world, you need to be extra careful and vigilant in all your doing because every asset of yours is at stake.

Now, what do we do to solve this issue and draw people more into the crypto world? First, I think it would be a great move if people in the crypto world make time to guide newbies as to what to do and not do and also what to look out for in the crypto world. Also, individuals should also make it a point to learn more about the crypto world before venturing into it and if possible, have a mentor to guide you until you can stand on your feet.

With these, I believe we are a step away from being scammed and and making the right investments.
Thanks for passing by.

That made me laugh. I remember when a particular coin came out and certain people were just buying without even knowing about it. Nbs crying afterwards. It’s really important to know what you are buying before you buy as you said.

I think, past week or two I am not able to study and do crypto. I go mad when I read about Blockchain - and that's why I am in here... There's new stuff out there... really need to get back!

I am older school crypto now(: Need to upgrade... but Blockchain, the soul of crypto remains more or less same, so can upgrade.

It's so fast changing, that ... anyway.

Yup, know your crypto, the tech behind it, explore the platform and learn stuff... if its ethereum, read their blogs, read news from good sources, explore tradingview, so many dapps... get to know the happening coins...

some finance stuff... market cap, tokenomics, utility...

It should do.

Many times you pick one Blockchain that's good, you get interconnected...

Its most happening stuff... so if people love Blockchain, web3, crypto.... its like a world very enriching world of knowledge... anyway.

Leo Finance for instance doing so much... not yet kept pace and all...anyway

it's always best to do perosnal research before investing in any crypto. Sadly it's something that lots of people don’t do. Crypto market is volatile and mostly based of speculation which means a risky venture. Before inesvting you should know what you’re doing.
