My Shock at Today's Math Homework!
I know education is the key to success but my dear friends, what are they teaching our kids and younger siblings in basic school? Yesterday my younger sister called me saying she was going to send me something on whatsapp and it was urgent so I should check it.
Long story short, it was homework for my other younger sister who was in class 1. I asked her what she wanted and she goes like like she doesn’t understand so I should help her. For someone who’s terrible at maths what am I doing around mathematics homework.
First things first. I told her to give me time cos I was busy which I actually was. I know what you’re thinking.😂 It took me a few minutes to get a hang of the whole concept but along the line I felt I was wrong so I had to come back to my answers to go through again.
If not for this homework I would have never known about the compensation strategy in maths. I mean, I wasn’t thought this in primary one so I was wondering how such work will be for this grade. I don’t really know what happened to our educational system but I’d like to believe that when it comes maths like this, you need someone who’s very good with kids to handle this because from what is in the text book, the student is likely to get confused.
Good news is, I was finally able to answer all the questions for my sister. Please don’t ask me for my answers just yet. Let’s wait for her teacher to mark so we can see our score- but I know she would pass. Even though I’m terrible at maths this is just some basic stuff.😅
A little note to parents a guardians out there, please do well to check your kids homework everyday cos they might need your help most of the time.

Maths used to be my favorite subject. You know in my place, a certain ethnic group were associated with being gigs at maths, the Fulani. It is amazing when you beat them at their own game 😂

I don't like maths on my normal days talk more of bringing assignments to me and the wrong person because you will fail so look for your dad abeg, but you really tried honestly
