My Latest Adventure & What’s Next

Two days ago, I had to halt everything I was doing and travel all the way from Tamale to Kumasi which was about 7 hours long. A journey that was supposed to last for 7 hours ended up exceeding over 8 hours because of the bad road and traffic in some parts of the major cities we had to use.

You’re probably saying that this girl doesn’t sit at one place which is very true. Before I went on this trip, I was on a call with my dad and he was literally begging me to slow down and rest so I can be healthy. It was just for a day so I told him not to worry, I’m used to this life now. This trip wasn’t a fun trip or a vacation, it was a business trip for my company. If you read my post a while back about the one thing I’ve been so anxious about all year, it’s this trip I was talking about. This trip was going to let me know if my company was going to get the funding we had worked so hard for , for a whole year or not. And so I was very anxious the whole time.

Thankfully, I arrived safely at almost midnight and prepared ahead of the next day. I could barely sleep until day broke and the competition continued. Out of 43 companies, I’d say we managed to stand out as we emerged the winners of the competition with the highest funding for our company. At long last, our hardwork over the past year payed off and I know that this is just the beginning. I don’t know if I’m happy or just exhausted and relieved all this is over, but I did make sure to have so much fun at the event. It was a 3 days event but I was there only on the last day because I was busy. But that one day I spent there was enough to cover up for the other two days I missed.

For a start, we had some jams sessions in the auditorium for about two hours. Ghanaians love jams and as a form of releasing stress, I also joined and danced my worries away. It was really a great time. Then we went on to listen to the various ideas everyone came with. Aside all this, I had the opportunity to meet so many people I haven’t seen in a while. This one year of ups and downs has helped me grow my network so much aside the stress and all.

I’ve met individuals who have changed my life in so many ways and it was so nice for us all to gather at one place for a common goal. It was heart warming seeing the smiles on each others faces, the warm embraces and laughter. Next time I’m to go on a trip again, I hope it would be one that would bring me something much bigger and better. Probably a vacation or winning a huge contract. Dreams do come to pass so I guess I’m free to dream too.
Thanks for passing by.

A work related trip, I guess that means it was a paid trip. Apart from the objective you guys went to achieve, getting involved in other activities is covered by company's funds right? 😂 This is definitely my kind of trip, I wouldn't have to spend any penny, just lavish and flex. Congratulations anyway.
