Have We Been Here Before?
For so long, we’ve voted governments into power thinking they were the government for the people but turns out they didn’t even care for the people. For years ago, Ghana was in so much hardship because the government then didn’t even care. Inflation was a normal thing for citizens and to add to that, we were made to pay some unnecessary tasks we don’t even know about. For an average Ghanaian, how to survive on the daily basis was already a struggle but that wasn’t enough, we had to pay E-levy for the most minute transactions and not forgetting the fact that no one dared to speak up because once you take that road, the government would be out for you.
I guess we had just had enough and so when the next election came which was on 7th December last year. Ghanaians made sure to vote that government out of power. It was something new in the history of our country because the gap was a lot. Our forefathers didn’t really care if the party they voted into power was going to work or not. Even if they were made to struggle till they very end, once they support you, be sure to have their vote. Our generation made that mistake once, didn’t like how it turned and so we decided to do better, stand up for what is right and put everything else aside. And as I speak today, I’d say the change was really worth us as Ghanaians are seeing real change now.
Looking globally, I would like to believe the just like world war 2, world war 3 has already started. Why because the events over the past few years say so. Starting from the Russia-Ukraine war, Israel- Palestine war, and now I hear Iran and the US are even involved. Not forgetting that the current Russian president also stated that world war 3 was already in progress. Funny enough, the higher ups are just having fun while civilians bear the wrath of their actions. All these killings and suffering can all be solved in one sitting but I guess our leaders just don’t want to come to a simple understanding for the benefit of us all.
So, as we all sit and watch in our various homes, let’s prepare for the worst as we pray for the best.

I really wish that in Nigeria we can take such bold steps to stop all these evil politicians who are just after their own pocket.
Thanks for sharing
I see that happening soon enough
Conflict usually do repeat itself several time

I read about the new government in Ghana and I couldn’t help but be proud of Ghanaians. Most importantly I’m happy the President is fulfilling his manifesto.
He is. I wish same for Nigeria.🙏
Thank you Sist 😊
Our leaders aren’t just ready to compromise for the betterment of the countries. Something they could all come together to work on, but no, the power they think they have is controlling them and not them doing otherwise. Things are repeating themselves that if care is not taken, a lot will go wrong in our countries.
Most of these leaders are just using us to have fun.😂
Hehehe. You’re right.
I think most African countries are embedded in this mess of corruption at the higher and lower level. I am glad Ghana got their way out of it.
God help the world from this war of a thing.
We had to take that bold step as a people.
Amen ooo.
