Giving,Beyond Grand Gestures

I always say that it’s better to be the one giving than the one on the receiving end all the time. In life, we have to learn how to to also return back favors and do good in our own little way because one good turn does deserves another.

I’ve met so many people who always want to take from other and never give back. It’s always take take take and nothing to even give back. Sometimes I get that people don’t really have much, but I believe it’s not about having much to give, it’s about willing to give. I’ve had people come through for me in so many ways. On days I thought no one would help me, I’ve had friends, family and even strangers do the unthinkable for me. I understand that they also probably don’t have much much they still came through me and with this, why won’t I also show up for them even when they don’t need it.

I’m actually a very strong believer of giver back and showing appreciation. Life is more like a moving circle, what goes around always comes around including your good deeds. Giving back isn’t always about grand gestures. Some days, I don’t have much but I make sure to also share the little I have with other. On other days when I know my expertise is needed with some stuff and I know people could use the help, I make sure to show up and help out because why not. No one died from helping others out.

I’ve had people text and call me to mentor them on one or two things and we were able to pull it off. Today, they wherever they wished to be back then, doing their own thing. And when I see them winning, I feel so fulfilled because I know they effort they put in to get there. I’ve had people push me up viably and invisibly and so I understand how much support means to people. Not everyone gets support in stuff they do so if you can, do support someone out there today, even if you do not know them. You’d be surprised how things would turn around.

Life isn’t a bed of roses for us all. Everyone is trying their best to figure stuff out and so as individuals walking this road, let’s try to hold each others hands on the journey but giving back in our own little way.
